Adele is enjoying a another week on top of the UK album chart, as 25 has shifted a further 439,000 copies in its second week of release. This comes after 25 became the UK’s biggest number one album ever, after selling 800,307 copies in its debut week.
Adele’s 25 is still at number one.
This week 25 sold more copies than the rest of the top ten combined, helping the album break even more records than her previous release 21. The Official Charts Company have also confirmed that 25 was the fastest million-selling album in UK chart history, after achieving the feat in just 10 days.

Over in the US, after selling 3.38 million copies in its debut week, the album has now surpassed one million sold in the U.S. in its second week, according to Nielsen Music. It is now the first album to sell a million copies in two different weeks in the US since Nielsen began tracking sales data in 1991.
Earlier this week tickets went on sale for Adele’s 2016 UK tour, with shows selling out within minutes. Demand for the shows was so high that extra dates had to be added, while touts are offering tickets at inflated prices of up to £1,000.

It had been thought that Adele might now tour with 25, but as it turns out the singer was just bluffing all along. Announcing her first set of gigs in four years Adele told fans: “I have been bluffing the whole time and I am so relieved to finally tell you I am of course coming on tour and I can’t wait to see all of you there.”
