Oscar-nominated director John Singleton is in intensive care after struggling a stroke.
The 51-year-old filmmaker – who’s finest recognized for helming 1991 crime drama ‘Boyz n the Hood’, which earned him his Academy Award nod – was already at hospital when he had a stroke on Wednesday (17.04.19) and he has since been moved to an ICU to be monitored carefully.
His household, together with his 4 youngsters, shared in an announcement: ”On Wednesday, April 17th our beloved son/father, John Singleton, suffered a stroke whereas on the hospital.
”John is at present within the ICU and beneath nice medical care.
”We ask that privateness be given to him and our household presently and respect the entire prayers which have been pouring in from his followers, mates and colleagues.”
TMZ.com first reported that the director had checked himself into Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, after complaining of ”weak point” in his leg after flying dwelling from Costa Rica.
At the time, it was claimed that he had suffered a ”delicate” stroke.
Since the information of Singleton’s sick well being broke, a lot of his well-known mates, together with the rappers Snoop Dogg and Juicy J, have despatched their prayers and well-wishes.
Snoop shared an image of the pair on Instagram, and wrote: ”Pray four my brother. @johnsingleton (sic)”
