He might have left the band but Will Chase will still get a “featuring” credit on the next single, as the actor will be returning for a guest spot on the season 5 premiere of Nashville when the show returns on CMT in 2017. The news was revealed this morning in a tweet by Nashville regular Chris Carmack, confirming audiences will get a bit more of the Chase-portrayed country star Luke Wheeler.
Chase followed up with a tweet of his own soon after.
Chase had a recurring role in the second season of Nashville and was upped to regular for seasons 3 and 4. He’s since moved on to a regular role on ABC’s midseason drama Time After Time, based on the book by Karl Alexander later adapted for a 1979 film directed by Nicholas Meyer and starring Malcolm McDowell, David Warner and Mary Steenburgen. The series sees Science Fiction pioneer H.G. Wells actually invent the time machine featured in his novel of the same name, and using it to travel to the modern day United States in search of notorious Victorian serial killer Jack the Ripper. It’s set to air sometime mid-season.
