The Republican, who served two terms as California’s Governor, doesn’t care which party wins November’s (16) general election, but he hopes the next president can unite all politicians and bring the U.S. together as a nation.
“I hope it’s going to be someone that is really good and they’re good for the Unites States, and is not going to be a political hack because I’m sick and tired of people being more concerned about their party affiliation…,” he told Access Hollywood Live.
“When you get elected to office you’ve gotta serve the people of the United States – all people… I think Washington has to get their act together and start thinking more about the country, the future of the country and the people, rather than worrying about getting stuck in ideological corners.”
The Terminator star is gearing up to replace fellow Republican Donald Trump as the host of U.S. reality show Celebrity Apprentice. Trump had to give up the job when he announced he was running for president last summer (16).
The property tycoon has since seen off his party rivals and now stands as the lone frontrunner to land the official Republican nomination to become a presidential candidate.
He will take on either Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders at the general election later this year (16).
