The 45-year-old comedian has been a resident of New York City since the 1990s, having put down roots in the metropolis’ Upper West Side neighbourhood.
And one day while she was standing outside a movie theatre near her home, some stranger decided to make her kid’s baby buggy a trash bin.
“A guy put dog s**t on my kid’s stroller,” she tells the New York Daily News. “That was crazy.
“(The stroller) was parked and I saw him throw trash in my stroller and I was like, ‘Hey what are you doing throwing trash in my stroller?’ And I picked it up and it was a paper towel full of dog s**t and I was like, ‘Hey!'”
According to the 30 Rock star, strange and shocking scenarios like this occur in New York City “all the time”.
This particular event may have been even more upsetting for Tina than usual because she does not care for critters.
“I have no affinity for animals,” she wrote in her 2011 book Bossypants. “When a coworker shows me cute pictures of her dog, I struggle to respond correctly, like an autistic person who has been taught to recognise human emotions from flash cards.”
Tina and her husband Jeff Richmond share two daughters together – Alice, 10, and Penelope, four.
And the Whiskey Tango Foxtrot actress couldn’t be more proud of her offspring.
“My daughters will tell you that I’m exceedingly dull – the fourth funniest person in the family,” she previously noted to The Edit. “My four-year-old is rivaling my husband for first place at this point. The ability to be very cutting that I have – to size someone up and think, ‘This would hurt you, if I said this’ – she has it already at four. And it’s shocking to me. I secretly regard it as a sign of great intelligence, but it’s something that must be managed.”
