Olly Murs and Caroline Flack’s ‘are they / aren’t they’ relationship has been one of the biggest talking points of this year’s ‘x factor’, but now the pair have finally given audiences what they’ve wanted, as they shared a kiss in a photobooth at the Cosmopolitan Awards.
The pair have kept ‘X Factor’ viewers guessing about the true nature of their relationship for the last couple of months, after Olly split with his long-term girlfriend Francesca Thomas at the end of September.
However, the final shot of the photobooth reel as the pair celebrated Caroline’s Ultimate TV Personality win at the awards seemed to indicate that they might be more than just friends, as Caroline posted the photos on her Instagram page on Wednesday night (December 2nd).

Speaking about their on-screen chemistry to You magazine in November, 36 year old Caroline said: “Me and Olly have a lovely relationship. We’re not girlfriend and boyfriend, yet we’re not totally platonic either. It’s a weird chemistry. We have this innate understanding of one another – we don’t fancy each other yet we do fancy each other.”

They first worked together in 2013 while presenting the ITV2 spin-off show ‘The Xtra Factor’, and Murs replaced Dermot O’Leary as the main show’s host this year, and he also recently told You that he liked working with Caroline but that he couldn’t really envisage a romantic relationship.
“We’re both quite flirtatious people and yes, we flirt with each other, but that’s part of the act, isn’t it? But we’re mates. We just spark off each other. We’re more like brother and sister now… …if it didn’t happen three or four years ago then it isn’t going to happen now. To be honest, it would mess everything up.”
