Kelly Clarkson continues to be inspiring!
The 33-year-old pop star and first American Idol winner, known for heartbreak hits such as “Since U Been Gone,” “Mr. Know It All” and “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You) released the music video for her new song “Invincible” on Friday.
The song promotes female empowerment and also features Chelsie Hill, who uses a wheelchair after being paralyzed in a car accident involving a drunk driver when she was in high school.
“Now I am invincible / No, I ain’t a scared little girl no more,” Clarkson sings. “Now I am a warrior / a shooting star / Know I got this far, had a broken heart.”
In recent months, Clarkson, who is married with a baby daughter, has been dealing not with heartache but with nasty body-shaming comments—and with grace.

In the video, Clarkson sports a black top and pants, paired with a long, sequined black, gray and burgundy cardigan, and belts out her sweeping ballad in a large room with glowing boxes suspended in mid-air. They later crash and burst into explosions of light.
She is later joined by a diverse group of women who dance their hearts beside her.
The music video for “Invincible” was filmed in April. In an Instagram post shared that month, Hill, who is 23 and lives in California, revealed she had been picked to appear in the clip.
“Today was a dream come true!” she said.
“I’ve had a roller coaster of emotions the last few days learning this amazing choreography from Addy Chan (in the picture),” she added. “She truly helped me in so many ways and I am so blessed to have met her! #DreamsComeTrue #NeverGivingUp.”
Hill has since her 2010 accident become a public advocate for safe driving and co-founded with her father the Walk and Roll Foundation, which helps people with spinal cord injuries. She also inspires scores of people by continuing her passion—dance.
“Invincible” is featured on Clarkson’s new album, Piece by Piece, her seventh major record that was released in February. It is the follow-up single to the fast-paced pop tune “Heartbeat Song,” which features the singer’s baby daughter, River Rose Blackstock, in a special way. Clarkson’s little girl will turn 1 in June.
