How did stars get ready for the 2015 Met Gala? Let Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid and Chrissy Teigen show you.
E! News got to sneak an exclusive peek while each model was getting glam last night. But we’re not just sharing behind-the-scenes photos. We want to give you the full experience of what goes into fashion’s biggest night—so we also got scoop straight from Kendall’s hairstylist Andrew Fitzsimons, Gigi’s mane gal, Jennifer Yepez and Chrissy’s makeup pro Mary Phillips. Here’s what they had to share about the pre-red carpet process:

“Gigi’s dress had a beautiful deep V-neck so we wanted a look that would elongate the cut of the dress and her hair. Plus, it was super-sexy, so to balance that out we tried to keep the hair youthful and soft,” shares Jennifer.
So how long did the primping take? “Hair and makeup worked simultaneously on this one so it took about an hour total. Which is a lot quicker than usual!” We’d say! But it also helps when your client has the mane of a goddess: “Her natural texture is amazing—literally dream hair. It’s what every girl would love to wake up with. It has natural wave and body with no frizz–like you were on the beach all day but sans sand and flyaways.”
Not to worry though perfect hair isn’t require to copy this look. All you really need is Moroccanoil Volumizing Mousse, a 1 ¼ inch curling iron, Hydrating Styling Cream and Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray.

Similarly, Kendall also went with a long and loose hairstyle for the night. Andrew, a Wella Professionals Celebrity stylist, described the sleek middle part effect he created for her as “a chic modern version of Cher circa the ‘70s.” Funnily enough, sister Kim Kardashian West’s 2015 Met Gala look was also was inspired by the music icon! You know what they say: Great minds…

When it came time to decide on a beauty look for Chrissy, it was a team effort.
“[Hairstylist] Jen Atkins and I love working together. I work with her a lot so we’re very on the same page and speak the same language. Once we started looking at our inspiration together it was, ‘Ohhhh, and what about the flowers’ and then I thought, ‘Wow, this lipstick would look great with that color in the flowers.’ If it sounds like girls having fun playing dress up, that’s because it is and we are!”
By the way, that exact hue she selected is Giorgio Armani Rouge d’Armani Lipstick in #513 from the limited edition Maharajah Collection. Stunning!
