Following a week of rumors that she was running a bit late, Kate Middleton gave birth to a lovely baby girl in London on Saturday morning (May 2).
Her Royal Highness Princess of Cambridge arrived around 8:30am and subsequently received a visit from her big brother Prince George before Kate and Prince William checked out of St. Mary’s Hospital and retreated to Kensington Palace.
On Sunday (May 3), the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge released a statement via Twitter- “The Duke and Duchess are hugely grateful for the messages of congratulations they have received from people all over the world. It means a great deal to them that so many people have celebrated the arrival of their new daughter. They were today visited by The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Mr. and Mrs. Middleton, and Pippa Middleton. Prince Harry has said about his new niece: ‘She is absolutely beautiful. I can’t wait to meet her.’”
