What started out as a normal day for Cam Newton has quickly taken a turn for the worst as he just crashed his pickup truck in downtown Charlotte. The Carolina Panthers hunk flipped his vehicle sometime after 12:30pm ET and was transported by ambulance to a nearby medical facility.
Thankfully, Charlotte Observer reporter Jonathan Jones was able to surmise that Newton was doing reasonably well after showing up on the scene and observing Cam resting on his elbow and responding to the emergency workers. Jones tweeted a photograph along with the caption, “Cam Newton is conscious and smiling after crash in uptown Charlotte.”
