Ain’t no party like a Mindy Project party!
If there’s one thing Mindy Lahiri (Mindy Kaling) loves more than pizza or the Real Housewives franchise, it’s a “holiday party,” which is exactly what we’re getting tonight on the Fox hit sitcom.
“This year we have a holiday party, Mindy’s holiday outfits,” Kaling previews in our exclusive sneak peek at tonight’s episode. “The shows get a little more sentimental than our other episodes get in a good way.”
But will this year’s party include the ultimate Christmas gift: a proposal from Danny (Chris Messina)?! (Hey, that’s one way to surely top last season’s holiday-themed episode, which featured Danny’s infamous dance-gift for Mindy and still plays on a constant loop in our office.)

It’s looking like the fan-favorite couple may be getting engaged in tonight’s festive outing as Mindy discovers Danny made a pretty expensive purchase from a place called “Forever Stones” while sneakily checking out his credit card statement.
Watch the exclusive video above to watch and freak out over the potential of a Danny-Mindy wedding! Oh, and to hear Beverly (Beth Grant) drop what will surely be the most-hilarious line of the episode, which is so offensive Jeremy (Ed Weeks) may or may not lock her in a closet.
But how will a Danny and Mindy engagement factor into the big trip Mindy will be taking soon? “We just pitched it to the network that we’re going to be going somewhere after Christmas, and there’s a really great roster of people that she meets there,” Kaling recently told E! News. “I like those episodes of like Lost where the character goes to a new place, or like The Walking Dead, where we meet like six new weirdoes. And you kind of fall in love with them.”
The Mindy Project airs tonight at 9:30 p.m. on Fox.
