Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans put up their dukes today—but it wasn’t anything serious.
The two were the surprise guests at a Marvel event about the studio’s upcoming superhero movies.
When the two came on stage, Evans went to shake RDJ’s hand, but the Iron Man star smacked him away. The Captain America star retaliated by pushing Downey. And then the two put up their fists.
It was all in good fun and they received thunderous applause from the 1,000 fans inside the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood.

Then Chadwick Boseman hit the stage when it was announced he landed the coveted Black Panther role. When RDJ asked him if he was Team Iron Man or Team Captain America, Boseman said, “As much as I respect you both, Black panther is kind of his own guy.”
Downey and Evans stepped in front of the newcomer for a quick game of “Rock, Paper, Scissor.” “In all seriousness I’m blessed to be a part of this Marvel Universe and working with you both,” Boseman said. “I’m looking forward to making magic together.”
Again, more thunderous applause.
Black Panther will be the studio’s first black superhero with his movie set to be released Nov. 3, 2017.
Marvel boss Kevin Feige presented a slate of films that will roll out from May 6, 2015 (Captain America: Civil War) to the second Avengers: Infinity War hitting theaters on May 3, 2019.
As one fan walked out of the theater, she probably summed up whatever everyone else was thinking when she excitedly told a friend, “I know what I’m going to be doing for those four years.”
