Kate Middleton is pregnant for a second time. The Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William were happy to make the huge royal announcement on Monday (Sept 8th), they are now expecting their second child together.

The royal family’s new addition will become the younger sibling to Prince George, who was only born just over a year ago on the morning of 22nd July, 2013.

The happy couple’s office, Clarence House, tweeted, “The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news that Their Royal Highnesses are expecting their second child.”
Kensington Palace also confirmed the exciting news in a statement, which read, “Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their second child. The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.”
As with her first pregnancy, Kate, 32, is suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum – acute morning sickness – and is currently being treated inside Kensington Palace rather than a hospital due to the press gathering outside.

“As with her first pregnancy, The Duchess is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum,” the statement continued. “Her Royal Highness will no longer accompany The Duke of Cambridge on their planned engagement in Oxford today. The Duchess is being treated by doctors at Kensington Palace.”

While on an official visit to the opening of the Dickson Poon University of Oxford China Centre Building, Price Williams told reporters, “We’re immensely thrilled, it’s great news, early days but I’m hoping that things settle down, she feels a bit better.”
“She’s feeling ok,” he continued. “It’s been a tricky few days, week or so. I’m going to go back and look after her now.”
The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, David Cameron, quickly congratulated the Royal couple via a statement that read, “Many congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge,” he said in a statement. “I’m delighted by the happy news that they are expecting another baby.”
