With a lineage that includes film icon Audrey Hepburn, Emma Ferrer has all the makings of a bona fide beauty queen herself.
And for the subscriber cover of Harper’s Bazaar September 2014 edition, Ferrer teamed with photographer Michael Avedon (grandson of Richard Avedon) for a fabulous photo shoot (her first ever).
Of her famous grandmother, Emma shared, “I remember seeing a photo of her jumping on a trampoline—I believe this was before I understood that she was famous. But I remember thinking that she looked like a friend I wish I could have had. As a child I couldn’t really relate to Audrey Hepburn, the actress. To me, she was family.”
Ferrer continued, “When I watched Breakfast at Tiffany’s, I enjoyed it the same way any young girl would. I’ve seen My Fair Lady and Roman Holiday, but I suppose my favorite is Funny Face.”
Furthermore, Emma treasures the few items she still has that belonged to Hepburn. “All I can think of are her cashmere turtlenecks, which I adore and wear all throughout the winter. And a white antique stuffed teddy bear.”
